Wie bei jedem Harry Klein Geburtstag hatten wir auch dieses Jahr eine große Tombola mit tollen Preisen.
Insbesondere unsere weiblichen Teilnehmer hatten scheinbar weniger Glück dabei eines unserer 8JahreN8wache Shirts zu gewinnen. Ein kleines Kontingent an Girls Shirts haben wir hier noch gelagert und diese 15Stück möchten wir gerne verschenken.

One night with 7 different artists sounds like a wild thing – and it surely is! Especially as every one of our residents has a very particular taste and way to chose his weapons to combat an empty dancefloor! We asked everyone to give us a hint what we can expect this Sunday, October 2nd, at the next edition of our continuus battle against bad music and ignorance: the infamous Harry Klein Records Showcase!
BENNA’s pick:
Terrence Parker – Love’s got me high (Systematic Soul Remix)
This track was my addiction to house music when I was 15. Marc Romboy will release 2 remixes of this classic on his label Systematic Recordings soon. Last time I told him about my obsession to this song and he promissed me that I will be the first one who will get the masterfiles. I have both remixes (his own and Jimpster’s remix) since last week now… Lucky me, thanks Marc :-)

Tune of the month for me! The mix between 2 stepping Riddims and Techno is amazing. Even when the most people don#t get it while dancing. For those who know.

Zenker Brothers – Berg 10
I”ll defenitely play Berg 10 from the last Zenker Brothers record. I only played it a few times in my live set so far and it’s always exciting to build it up differently and to hear it in another context. It worked really nice as an intro the last time, don’t know yet when i’m gonna play it this time :)
Passend zur Wiesn widmet das SZ Magazin Titel und Story dem Lieblingsbier der Münchner, dem Augustiner. Was hinter der Marke steckt und wie es die Brauerei schafft ohne Werbung fast das Monopol zu stellen. Andreas Bernhard versucht auf zu decken.
In acht Jahren hört ein Club und seine DJs vieles kommen und gehen, Gutes wird zu Klassikern und Hits hören sich leer und verschwinden in der Versenkung. Beatport hat gefragt und wir, das Robert Johnson, der Baalsaal und einige wenige andere haben geantwortet. Die Aufgabe; eine 10 Tracks umfassende Quintessenz der elektronischen Tanzmuik – Clubcharts die den Charakter eines Ladens wieder spiegeln. Keine leichtes für unsere Residents und Booker Peter Fleming. Geschafft in unsere Top10 hat es z.b. Audion mit Mouth to Mouth oder Marcel Dettmanns Lattice und zwei Tracks aus der HKR001 von Marco und Dario Zenker.
Ihre Herangehensweise ist die intuitive, geprägt von Emotionen, von Leidenschaft, von Höhen und Tiefen. Die Künstler vereint das pure Vergnügen am Versinken im kreativen Prozess und die befreiende Wirkung desselben.
Michael Seidl veröffentlicht seine Werke unter dem Pseudonym Acapulco. Die Bilder setzen sich mit den Entscheidungen des Lebens auseinander. Eine große Rolle spielt die Visualisierung der Hoffnung durch Schmerz. So düster Momente auch erscheinen mögen, so gibt es trotzdem einen Blickwinkel, der Licht ins getrübte Bild lässt.
Morlock versteht sich als aufmerksamer Beobachter und Zeitzeuge mit einer starken Faszination für alle menschlichen Facetten. In den Werken finden sich zum Teil sehr persönliche Geschichten und eigene emotionale Zustände wieder, aber auch die Lust an grafischen Formen und skurrilen Charakteren. Die stilistischen Einflüsse reichen von Comic und Graffiti über die klassischen Künste bis zur Leipziger Schule.

MIHAI POPOVICIU seit 2007 Mitglied im Highgrade Zirkel kommt am 27.08.2011 endlich nach München um im Rahmen seiner “The Unexpected Truth – Tour” sein Harry Klein Debut zu absolvieren.

Mrs. BettyMü was invited beside other artists to take part at the “heart on the street” project, founded by Robert Bosch Stiftung, supported by Kunstverein Munich and Kunstarkaden. The Vernissage will take place on Tuesday, August 09, 19:00 – 22:00. Be curious!
… deal with the topic of Street Art and Urban Environment in their creative works. The show also addresses the distinct elements of Street Art in relation to various political, social and aesthetic facets of contemporary societies. They use an innovative mix of various media and forms of expression (painting, photography, installations, graphics, video art and sculpture).
A panoramic view of these artistic statements reveals the potential for the format of Street Art to serve as a basis for contemporary art both in Latvia and Germany – in confrontation, as a source of inspiration. As each artist deals with Street Art in a distinct way, the exhibition attempts, inasmuch as possible, to find a common denominator in all these various artistic statements. Moreover, the project is so conceived that contemporary art – by its explicit reference to Street Art and urbanity – reveals us a lot about the social processes and their development in both countries.
The notion of Street Art refers to a multitude of ordinary urban situations which have changed quite a lot, for instance, in Latvia, a country where rapid transformations are taking place. At the same time, it is necessary to consider various interpretations of this form of aesthetic expression in Western society that over the recent years, too, has undergone massive changes.
For a number of the artists on display this experimental artistic production is also a sort of social research work. As stated above, the artists work represents a mix of various elements or activities reflecting a variety of events that take place in politics, society, economy, daily life or elsewhere. The artistic works in this show therefore attempt to pin down some elements of Street Art and urban life in general, to conceive them from various perspectives and to contribute to their re-interpretation.
